The DeWALT DCH172P2 18V XR Ultra Compact SDS+ Rotary Hammer Kit is a lightweight, high-performance drilling solution built for electricians, M&E installers and fixing contractors across Ireland. Supplied with 2 x 5.0Ah XR batteries, it delivers excellent runtime in a compact body designed for overhead and repetitive anchor drilling.

Producing 1.4 Joules of impact energy and up to 4,980 bpm, this ultra-compact SDS+ drill offers fast, efficient drilling in concrete with an optimal drilling range of Ø4–12mm and a maximum capacity of Ø16mm.

With low operational vibration at 8.8 m/s², it helps reduce user fatigue during extended use. The brushless motor improves efficiency and durability, while compatibility with the 18V XR platform allows seamless integration with existing batteries and chargers.

Two operating modes provide versatility:

• Rotary Hammer Mode – for masonry and concrete

• Rotary Only Mode – for drilling into wood and metal

Additional features include a bright LED work light with delay function and a built-in tool tether point for secure lanyard attachment when working at height.
