The DeWALT DCH172N-XJ 18V XR Ultra Compact SDS+ Rotary Hammer is a class-leading, lightweight drilling solution built for electricians, fixers and installation trades across Ireland. Designed for speed and portability, this is the smallest and lightest DEWALT cordless SDS+ rotary hammer, making it ideal for overhead drilling and repetitive fixing work.

Delivering 1.4 Joules of impact energy and up to 4,980 bpm, the DCH172 offers fast drilling performance in concrete with an optimal drilling range of 4–12mm and a maximum capacity of 16mm.

With low operational vibration at 8.8 m/s², it forms part of the Perform & Protect range, helping reduce fatigue during extended use. The brushless motor ensures improved efficiency, longer runtime and reduced maintenance when paired with 18V XR batteries.

Two operating modes provide versatility on site:

• Rotary Hammer Mode – for concrete and masonry

• Rotary Only Mode – for drilling in wood and metal

Additional features such as a super-bright LED work light with delay function and an integrated tool tether point (for lanyard attachment) make it ideal for working at height and in confined areas.
